The Conversation Podcast Studio
Going live in June 2024, this podcast studio was created to eliminate noise inside and outside the office while still delivering an engaging environment for business success conversations. As with any project, I design with environmental layers. The light gray stripe separates the white walls from the sound-absorbing honeycomb, which frames the dimensional Podcast logo. The vegan leather chairs and eucalyptus trees soften up the hard lines created with the pattern. When not recording, there are removable foam inserts for the windows. The pattern and logo give a nod to Mr. Padgett's alma mater, Georgia Tech. There are times when guests appear on a separate podcast other than the Conversation, so we added the curtains, which can be pulled to cover up the logo. An inexpensive and quick way to add versatility to the studio.
SFN Convention 2023
This was my most ambitious endeavor. Building a town in a ballroom and making it feel like you are entering another reality is as strategic as it is creative. I was proud to lead the team that pulled this together. Each boutique storefront was designed for the brand it represented, and no detail was overlooked inside or out. This is also the first time a tradeshow strategy and creative spanned all events for the year. It allowed for each event to be unique within creative standards that made each event feel cohesive with the brands and corporate message for the year.
The International Surface Event 2022
10,000 sqft, three brands, and an immersive experience all wrapped up with a showstopping header—this booth was one of my most interesting. The footprint was more of a skinny rectangle and had to contain all the brands individually but feel a part of the larger company. We launched PetProtect at this show, so my team created the immersive PetProtect experience that tipped us over the top to take the best of the show.
The Mix
One of my last projects at Mohawk was redesigning and modernizing the product showroom in the headquarters in Calhoun, GA. We wanted to tell a story and allow for conversations, education, inspiration, and a showcase of the products and brands.
Game of Throwns
I was entrusted to create the vision for this new axe-throwing business. We started with the name, next came the logo, and then we had some fun.
Largos
This started out as the Hot Pimento and specialized in cheese and grab-and-go sandwiches. A change in the chef and now the client needed a more refined identity and experience.
